The Famous Painter
Four people — an aging finance bro, a failed artist, a college professor, and a high-end escort — all end up at the party thrown by a famous painter, and over the course of the night their lives intersect and overlap, causing them to reflect on their lives, their careers, and their relationships (both past and present), while their wealthy slowly unravels.
The Famous Painter was the second play by MILLIONS & MILLIONS, a theatre troupe focused on staging original work. This play featured actors Richard Cohn-Lee, Colin Keating, Megan Gotz, Cris Villa, Kelly Love, and was led by writer / director Riley Michael Parker. The fully sold-out run was four shows on consecutive weekends, opening Friday, September 4th at the Historic Goldsmith Blocks in Portland’s Chinatown, and closing Saturday, September 12th.
4ARTSAKE co-produced the play, as it supports our mission of group projects, accessible art (i.e. affordable tickets), and original works.
