We Want to Showcase Your Work!
4ARTSAKE is partnering with Watershed PDX to platform and spotlight working Portland artists, and to help build inroads between our local creatives and resources available to them from public and private organizations.
On Thursday, September 24th, the TOUCH ART showcase will be a collective art event designed to bring creatives, the public, and local leaders together to celebrate the wide range of artistry thriving in our city. This event will bring artists together with regional leaders to connect, exchange ideas, and explore new partnerships & opportunities that empower artists to thrive, build sustainable careers, and become more self-sufficient. The event will also honor and champion the incredible work that local artists have created over the past several years — the art that MAKES Portland.
As a co-curator, and in collaboration with Mudd Palace Gallery, 4ARTSAKE will be selecting up to 45 individual artists to be a part of our showcase, working in a wide range of mediums, including everything from poetry to fine paintings, ceramics to collage. What You Need to Know
Key Dates : Application Deadline 9/12; Acceptance Notification by 9/15; Art Drop-off 9/18; TOUCH ART Showcase 9/24; Art Pick-Up 9/25.
Who Should Apply? : PDX artists interested in strengthening the local art community; creatives interested in public funding (grants). We will prioritize students, underemployed, and working class artists, but all are welcome!
Our Accepted Mediums : Paintings; prints; illustrations; collage; photography; film / animation stills; comics; chapbooks; and sculpture.
Sales : Artists are responsible for selling their own work (if for sale), and keep all generated profit (neither 4ARTSAKE or our partners take a cut).
Public Partnership : Several members of local government will be at the event with the sole purpose of meeting you and seeing your art. This is your chance to make contact with the folks responsible for grants & funding.
Drop-Off Details / Event Schedule Will Be Provided to All Accepted Participants Closer to the Event.

It is our goal to spotlight as many artists as possible. TOUCH ART is intended first and foremost to foster community, and unite people around art, and at 4ARTSAKE we believe we accomplish more when we work together.
W will be selecting up to 45 individual artists to be a part of our showcase, with a goal of diversity in medium, subject matter, and creator.
Final Application Deadline : Saturday, 9/12
All Artists Notified of Acceptance Status : By or before Tuesday, 9/15
Art Drop-off : Friday, 9/18
TOUCH ART EVENT : Thursday, 9/24
